How to update your blog or forum with Firefox browser ?

ScribeFire Blog Editor is a Firefox add-on that enables users to easily drag and drop formatted text from the web into their blog(s) or forums, post entries, and take notes directly through the Firefox browser.

You can do this in 3 easy steps

1. install Firefox and ScribeFire add-on
2. configure ScribeFire
3. start posting

1. install Firefox and ScribeFire add-on
Download Firefox from www.firefox.com
After successfully installing it, go to Tools – Add-ons – Get add-ons, type ScribeFire in the “Search” box then click on “Add to Firefox”
You will have to restart Firefox

2. Configure ScribeFire
Start by opening the Scribefire window in your browser
Click on the bottom right icon in the status bar ( or press F8):

When ScribeFire opens, an account wizard will appear to help you connect to your blog. Fill in the required information and submit.

For www.IhelpIT.ca the info is as follows:
Your blog's URL: http://ihelpit.ca/blog/your_username
If it takes too long or Scribefire cannot auto-detect settings
please click on Next - Configure manually
Blog System Type: Drupal
API URL : http://ihelpit.ca/xmlrpc.php
username : your_username
password : your_password

Your blog will immediately be listed in the right-hand pane of your browser

Please note that you could also post on www.IhelpIT.ca forums by “checking” the right category.

To post to your blog or forum, just enter text in the main editor panel of ScribeFire, give it a title and click the Publish button

That's all there is to it!

ScribeFire posts the entry to your blog immediately.
Your blog title will also appear in the right sidebar enabling you to go back and edit or delete your post.
